There are about 360 joints in the human body. Joints are important junction points in terms of their structures and functions. Joint disorders that we encounter in the human body are commonly known as rheumatism. Other symptoms other than joint pain may be rheumatic in origin. Or not all joint pain is rheumatic. Sometimes it can mimic rheumatic diseases in other diseases. (Hepatitis B-C, Brucella, Goiter, Cancer…) Again, joint complaints may not be present in rheumatic diseases with vascular inflammation called vasculitis.
 What can be the symptoms that suggest rheumatic disease?

• Pain, swelling, limitation of movement in the joints,
• stiffness in the joints in the morning
• more pronounced lower back pain and stiffness, especially in the morning,
• whitening, bruising on the fingers in the cold,
• glands under the skin,
• the development of hypersensitivity and wounds on the skin in the sun,
• skin stiffness on the hands or any part of the body,
• weakness, inability to go up and down stairs, inability to sit and get up, and pain in the muscles,
• wound in the mouth, wound in the genital area,
• frequent inflammation of the eyes (Uveitis),
• recurrent abdominal pains
• mouth and eye dryness,
• unexplained fever,
• unexplained weight loss,
• unexplained skin rashes.
